Celebrate Summer with Westmeath Libraries
Summer Stars is well underway for all the children out there, and we also have a host of events for adults as well
Summer is here, and that means that it is Summer Stars time! All Westmeath children are invited to sign-up to take part in our Summer Stars reading, and be in with the chance to win every single week.
To help you celebrate we’re also hosting so many events in our libraries, from Lego sessions, to rock painting, from story times to sing alongs. You’ll find the full list on our website (click here)
Art and Craft sessions aren’t only for children though. If you are an adult and want to share your art and craft passions with fellow crafters why not join Mullingar Library’s Adult Art and Craft group. They meet every Friday at 2.30pm. Come along, bring your projects and share ideas.
If you are into knitting, crochet, or other fibre related crafts there are groups of like-minded people in all our libraries.
Moate Library - Knit & Natter craft group meet every Monday at 10.30am
Mullingar Library - Patchwork & Needlecraft group meet every Monday at 1pm
Aidan Heavey Library, Athlone - Knitting & Crochet Social Group meets on 9th & 23rd July at 10.30am
